The Acropolis was unbelievable. We were the first ones through the gate at 8:30 and it stayed relatively quite for about an hour. To be here and to essentially have it all to ourselves was an amazing experience. To finally be able to see the Parthenon in person was a dream come true--granted many of its columns had been taken apart for "restoration and preservation". Still amazing with all the scaffolding.
