Hotel des Invalides 7th arrondissement, Paris
09/23/02

Built in the 17th century as a veteran's hospital, the Hotel des Invalides is quite an impressive site. In front of the building is a large lawn lined with cannons. It currently houses the Musee de l'Armee dedicated to military history.

Directly behind the Hotel des Invalides is the Dome Church built roughly during the same period as the Hotel. It is quite an impressive structure and houses Napoleon's tomb.
