Located at the other end of the Parc du Champs de Mars (the Eiffel Tower is at the other end), the Ecole Militaire was founded in 1751 as an educational establishment for the sons of impoverished officers. Jacques-Ange Gabriel's building is a wonderful example of the French classical style.
