5th Year (thesis)

My fifth year of architectural studies was spent completing my architectural thesis project. I have a tremendous interest in sustainable design and chose to have my senior thesis address the issues involved with sustainability.

Sustainability has become a catch phrase in the architecture industry. Unfortunately, it is often used more for its marketing appeal than actual value as a design ideal. For my architectural thesis I've redefined the definition of sustainability and then used this definition across various scales (planning, urbanism, architecture) applying it to a site in downtown Long Beach, CA.
