Mixed-Use Laundromat
The challenge of this project was to design
a mixed-use laundromat whose other uses would appeal to the
local San Luis Obispo demographic. To do this I created an
edgy, high-tech building that would not only support laundry
facilities but serve as a study hall and hangout for the local
Cal Poly students. The building incorporates many sustainable
ideas including clerestory windows, proper solar orientation,
and a trombe wall.
